Each year ECA volunteers give their time and resources to keep our park beautiful, organize community events, maintain our historic community hall and improve the lives of our neighbors. All improvements to the Park have been accomplished through the hard work of the people of Ester and generous donations.
Ways to help
We need volunteers for many things, from park maintenance, to event assistance, to volunteering for board of officer duties. Here are some ideas of ways you can contribute.
Ester Community Park

- Mow grass (limited to trained individuals – contact ECA)
- Ice rink creation (limited to trained individuals – contact ECA)

Event volunteers
- Easter Egg Hunt
- Chili Feed (Spring) – make chili, pies, cornbread, musical performance, set-up, etc.
- Park Clean-up Day (May) – all hands call to help clean the park
- Hartung Hall Clean-up (Late May) – cleaning, mowing, maintenance
- Fourth of July – Parade, potluck (suspended 20/21), games, judging, clean-up
- Ester Fest! – organization, staffing, stage prep, vendors, performers
- Halloween – kids activities, Trick-or-Treat leads, participating houses
- Ice Breaker – event food & supplies
